Privacy Policy
Effective Feb 1, 2026
This policy explains what NYStocks collects when you use NYStocks, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
If you create an account
We collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google returns (name, email, and profile picture URL). Authentication is handled by Supabase; your password is stored hashed by Supabase and is never visible to us.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
We collect your email address for the sole purpose of sending the newsletter you asked for. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
When you simply browse
Our hosting provider processes standard server logs, which include IP address, user agent, and requested URL. These are used to serve the site, apply rate limits, and diagnose faults.
Cookies
We set cookies only where they are needed for the site to work. If you sign in, an httpOnly session cookie keeps you signed in; it is not readable by JavaScript. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics script on this site.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not build advertising profiles or track you across other sites.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: a hosting provider, Supabase for authentication, and a market data provider for quotes (market data requests carry no personal information about you). Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is open and deleted when you close it. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are retained on our hosting provider’s standard schedule.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the EU/UK and the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Exercise any of these by emailing privacy@nystocks.com. We will respond within the period required by the applicable law.
Children
This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the effective date above and, where the change affects account holders, notify them by email.
